1 through 6: Returning to Madison after a massive photographic expedition up and down the longer axis of the state where fall colors were close to their peak, it was a bit of a surprise to see the older section of Fred Hall in its new form with the ends of its longer axis having been set up to collapse under their own weight which occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, October 10. (Yes, a movie does exist of the high west end coming down, and hopefully some day this page will have a link to that spectacle whenever it shows up on the web.) These photos are arranged to show what one would see going clockwise around the site; Photo 5 was taken Sunday evening from the parking lot.

x

7 through 11: The newer section begins to be picked apart from the top.

x

12 through 16: The separation of metal and concrete continues over at the older section.

x

17 and 18: Definite progress is made at the newer section. Now devoid of bricks, the edge of the roof appears to have been covered with some tough plastic or fabric – probably to keep the potential flying "zingers" under control as the concrete is crunched.
